What is insurance bad faith?
Sometimes insurance companies refuse to make payment when there is no arguable basis under the law for them to do so. In those situations, they may be guilty of what is referred to as insurance bad faith. If you are able to establish an insurance company without any arguable basis denied or refused to make payment on your case, then you have a claim for bad faith possibly and you may also be entitled to punitive damages against the insurance company for their actions.
