What is medical payments coverage?

There are several different insurance coverages that are available to someone purchasing an automobile insurance policy. One of those is medical payments coverage. Medical payments coverage does not consider the fault of the party that was either driving the car or in the car. It simply covers medical expenses incurred by that person as a result of an accident that occurred while in the vehicle. This coverage unlike several other coverages that are available does not depend upon the fault of the party and it is one that is usually anywhere from $1,000 all the way up to $10,000 and is paid directly from the insurance company to the person who incurs the medical bills.
