The Habitat for Humanity Home Run 5K and Kids 400-Meter Dash is almost here!
The run is scheduled to take place in Southaven at Snowden Grove Park, 3335 Pine Tar Alley. Be sure to support Habitat for Humanity by participating in this great Southaven, Mississippi event on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Be sure to register twenty-four hours prior to the race.
The race day schedule is as follows:
12:30 p.m. Packet pick-up and registration
1:00 p.m. Kids’ zone opens
1:00 p.m. Pre-race entertainment begins
1:45 p.m. Registration ends
1:45 p.m. Runners make their way to starting line
1:55 p.m. Last minute race instructions and recognition of race sponsors
2:00 p.m. Race begins
2:15 p.m. Entertainment resumes
2:45 p.m. Post-race party begins
2:50 p.m. Desoto County High School trophy presentation
3:00 p.m. Kids 400-meter dash begins
3:30 p.m. Awards ceremony
Pick up your race packet on Oct. 8 at Bancorp South at 5970 Getwell Road (just down the street from our office). Or pick up your packet on Oct. 9 at Zaxby’s at 6676 Getwell Road.
By running, you’re getting healthy and supporting a great cause. Habitat for Humanity Hernando-DeSoto invites people of all backgrounds, races, and religions to build houses together for families in need.
Habitat depends on people just like you to fully eliminate substandard housing in the United States. You can volunteer at Habitat for Humanity Hernando-DeSoto or simply help out by running in this event.
