Hoops fever in DeSoto County, Mississippi, is well under way midway through December. Both the Southaven Chargers and DeSoto Central are about halfway through their seasons, battling for months on the hardwood.

As a proud Southaven, Mississippi business, Stroud, Flechas & Dalton wishes all DeSoto County high school student-athletes the best of luck in competition.
Basketball, like all extra-curricular activities, is an important part of the Mississippi education system and needs to be supported by the local community. I would like to encourage everyone in Southaven to support these hard-working players by coming out not just for the DeSoto Central-Southaven matchups, but also to games all season long.
Whether you wear the orange and blue of the Chargers or the purple and gold of the Jaguars, please be respectful of players, coaches, parents, and referees at all local sporting events. Our students are looking up to us as adults in the community, and we therefore need to set examples of good sportsmanship in Southaven.
We hope to see you at the rivalry games for tip-off! Be sure to mark your calendars for Southaven’s biggest rivalry basketball matchups of 2014!
