A tragic car accident on Interstate 55 resulted in the wrongful death of a mid-south child. 8-year-old James Thomas Gray of Southaven was killed when the compact car being driven by one of his relatives was struck from behind by another vehicle. Gray’s 9-year-old sister and the relative who was driving were also injured in the rear-end collision. The driver of the other vehicle was reportedly transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries as well.
It is important to remember that if you have been involved in a crash, or if you have lost a loved one to a crash, you should not speak with the at-fault driver’s insurance carrier until you have consulted an attorney about your rights. Insurance companies, who are looking only at their bottom line, will often attempt to persuade unrepresented parties to settle for less than they may be entitled to.
